Every once in a while, it’s good to look at what you’ve put on the back burner (and why).
Back burner: a position of relatively little importance

Sometimes troubled-and-anxious feels a lot more appropriate than trust. Sometimes trust doesn’t make sense until you see things through the rearview mirror.

Putting people in boxes (and trying to keep them there) takes a lot of energy. Letting them be who they are is a lot more fun, once you get used to not being in control.

Healing seems to come as you learn to see all the unhealed parts of yourself with compassion. It's one of life's mysteries.

When you see wounds (including yours), do you come alongside with compassion?

If you took every small chance (on the road or in conversation or in line) to love people today, you’d probably be more alive by nightfall.

Father, please make me alive with Your love today.
