Snow does you a favor every once in a while. It turns off all the lights and computers and televisions and leaves you face to face with the rest of life. It gives you time for a long, leisurely visit with yourself (which might feel a little awkward at first, if you’re used to being chaperoned). It gives you time for thinking thoughts that are too shy to come out when it’s noisy. It gives you time to be quiet with other people, too. I guess sometimes the simple pleasures just have to wait until you don’t have any other choices.
"Life is what happens to you/While you're busy making other plans." John Lennon
