I received a text from a dear friend telling me that her baby was born. There was a photo of my friend, delighted, lying in a hospital bed, holding her infant who was only a few hours old. The text said, “We don’t know her name yet.”
“[A] Child is born. . . . and His name will be . . . Prince of Wholeness.” Isaiah 9:6
When I got to the hospital, I found the baby swaddled and lying in a bassinet.
“[Mary] swaddled Him and laid Him in a feeding trough. . . .” Luke 2:7
The baby was so tiny and soft and helpless.

I am very small and lost in wonder.
