A few days ago, I met a woman, and I didn’t like her. She was distant and snooty and full of herself. Then I remembered something: I don’t yet SEE this woman. I don’t know her joys, her griefs, her memories, her fears, or her loves. I only SEE the outside of her. So I decided to erase “distant and snooty and full of herself.” Then I began to SEE her with fresh eyes. By the end of the evening, I was enjoying her.
Jesus said, “Do you SEE this woman?” Luke 7:44
Lord, help me to SEE the mystery of this woman, this man, this child with eyes wide open instead of judging and categorizing.
